On September 27 this year, family-owned KW Bruun & Co. A/S announced the sale of KW Bruun Import A/S and KW Bruun NxT A/S to the Canadian-based automotive group, Global Auto Holdings Limited. The sale has now been approved by the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority, and the change of ownership is a reality.
As of today, one of the largest private car importers in the Nordic region, KW Bruun Import, is changing its name to Wismo Group. The foundation is the same, and the new group builds on over 100 years of business acumen, growth and innovation. The new owner, Global Auto Holdings Limited, one of the world's largest car retail groups, will use the change of ownership as a strategic springboard for expansion.
Therefore, the name change to Wismo Group also marks the start of a new era – both nationally and internationally.
“With our new owner's international expertise and Wismo Group's strong market position in the Nordics, we will jointly consolidate and expand the company's position in the Nordics and globally,” says CEO of Wismo Group, Kenneth Hansen.
The new name, Wismo, stands for Wise Mobility and reflects the company's core focus on delivering thoughtful, innovative and responsible mobility solutions that create value for customers and partners and meet the mobility needs of the future.
